The Holy Season of Lent begins on February 14, 2018, with Ash Wednesday. We gather on this day to remember our mortality and our utter dependence on God’s grace. We intend over the 40 Days of Lent to reflect and seek forgiveness, study scripture, fast and give alms.
We desire to make ourselves humble before the Almighty.
Ashes help us do that. They remind us that we are but dust. Our days limited. And to remember that God longs to be in a relationship with us. God offers us reconciliation and renewal to restore that relationship.
So join us as we gather together for the Ash Wednesday Liturgy and Imposition of Ashes.
