Worship & Music

Worship at St. Mark’s follows the liturgical calendar beginning with Advent, and progresses through Christmas and Epiphany followed by Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and then Pentecost.  Each season offers us the ability to follow the footsteps of Christ as we await his coming, celebrate his birth, learn about his earthly ministry, practice penitence, experience sorrow over his crucifixion and our own sin, rejoice in his resurrection, and witness the growth of our faith and his church.

Each Sunday we celebrate Eucharist as part of our worship, and together we sing hymns and anthems complementing the current liturgical season.  Our Adult and Junior Choirs, led by choirmaster and organist Philip Montgomery, enrich our worship with music selections drawing principally from our Anglican and European roots, as well as 18^th and 19^th century American compositions.
